Leanne is Virgil's fourth child and third daughter and Ruth's only child. Her birth name was Irene Leanne always went by Leanne so in 1991 she had it legally changed to Leanne Irene.
Leanne works as a paralegal at Daggy & Anagnostou, P.S., she graduated with an
AA in 1994 as Paralegal Major. She is Kurt Anagnostou's family law
paralegal, but also has significant experience with civil
litigation, personal injury, estate planning, and real estate.
Mike is a retired Air Force TSgt (technical sergeant), he retired in
October of 1994 after serving 20 years. He then went to school and got
a BA with a math major and a science and kinesiology minors. He
received his teaching certificate and teaches math at Kelso High
School. He is also the tennis coach for girl and boys at Kelso High.
He earned a bowling scholarship straight out of high school, but lost it
by bowling in a professional tournament when he was 19. He founded the
girl's bowling team at the Kelso Junior High level, which he no longer
coaches due to time constraints. Mike and Leanne are both musicians and are
actively involved in their church. They sang together (Mike at the
guitar) and were friends for several years before seeing each other in a
"new light" and realizing they were perfect for each other.
They still
provide music ministry for mass at least twice a month, and are also
involved in jail ministry, where they provide music for the church
services held at the local jail on a monthly basis. They love to sing
together and Mike is very gifted with his guitar. Leanne
& Mike also enjoy
camping and traveling, they have a 37-foot motorhome and took cross-country (18
states in 18 days) with the kids in 2002, they stopped and visited Uncle
John Henry in Missouri on that trip. They look forward to retiring so
they
can spend more time traveling. They also love to travel to the beach and get
there as often as possible. Newport, Oregon is their favorite area (that's
feasible to drive for the weekend). They love theme parks and go to at least one big one a year. Currently,
they are working on a historic
house remodel/restoration which is taking up most of their free time,
they hope
