Sarah was John's second wife. They married on 5/27/1918 by Rev. N.J. Breshears, a Baptist Minister, in Dallas County, Missouri when Sarah was 19 and John was 45. When they married she was from Charity, Dallas County and he was from Conway, Laclede County. She died in 1920 then John married Sarah's younger sister Martha. 

Sarah is buried at the Macedonia Cemetery in Dallas Co, MO next to her mother Mahala Dean and sister Viola.
